Hey,

My name is Austin Kois (pronounced like the fish, but with an “s”). I’ve been dancing West Coast Swing for over a decade, teaching and performing professionally for nearly half of that time. I run several dances in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Groovy Tuesdays (SJ) and Mission City Swing (SF).

I began dancing when I was 19 during my time at Sonoma State University at the request (demand) of my mom. After sitting around at home one too many times, she pressured me into trying out a dance class with her to meet some new friends, which led to me finding West Coast Swing through WnY Warehouse. After just one class, I was hooked.

Now, my focus is making sure as many new people as possible can try and find their love for the amazing improvisational dance that is West Coast Swing. Are you ready?
